Meet Our OBGYNs
Alfreda Jones, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Jones completed her BS in chemistry at Pembroke University in North Carolina. She graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in 1987 and completed her residency program at George Washington University in 1991. She is married with four children to whom she is devoted. Her special interests include managing pregnant patients, urinary incontinence, laparoscopic assisted hysterectomy, vaginal hysterectomy and pelvic support issues. She is also interested in infertility and menopausal issues.
Stephanie Stormes, M.D.
Dr. Stormes completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Alberta, Canada. She attended medical school at St. George’s University, graduating in 2012, after completing a broad spectrum of clinical rotations in the United States as well as Grenada, West Indies and Kenya. Prior to her career in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Stormes trained in Family Medicine at the University of Massachusetts, where she had a focus on Women’s Health and Global Health. She realized that she could not deny her passion for Obstetrics and Gynecology and subsequently completed OB/GYN residency at Inova Fairfax Hospital. She has interest in Global Health, having worked in hospitals and clinics in Ghana, Nicaragua, and Guyana during her training. Her other areas of interest include family planning, minimally invasive surgery, pregnancy loss, high risk pregnancies, obstetrical emergencies, and medical education. She is an active clinical instructor with Virginia Commonwealth University students and received a Teaching Award of Merit in 2015. Dr. Stormes is board eligible in the US and fully board certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as well as the Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada. She enjoys dancing, photography, travelling, crafts, and spending time with her husband and two children.
Janie Villarin, N.P.
Janie Villarin is an experienced family nurse practitioner focused on the overall health and wellness of ob/gyn patients by providing up-to-date and excellent care. Ms. Villarin received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia in 1999. While working as a registered nurse in labor & delivery, postpartum, antepartum and infertility, she attended Georgetown University and received her Masters in Nursing in 2004 to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is Board Certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Ms. Villarin is fluent in Spanish and Tagalog (Filipino) in a medical setting. Before joining private practice, she worked for the National Health Service Corps in underserved communities. Her passion for women’s health shows in the thorough care she gives at each visit. Outside of the clinic, Ms. Villarin enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her husband and three children.
